Friestad Realty is a local, family owned real estate company serving Northwest Louisiana and currently staff 5 full time realtors. We offer a variety of services through our 4 divisions.
DIVISION 1: BUYER REPRESENTATION
One of our specialties is helping buyers through the process of finding and purchasing their new home. Our goals are to help our clients find their perfect home, to negotiate the best deal, and to make it a pleasurable experience. Becoming a home owner is an exciting event; we work hard to ensure that it’s a great experience for all our customers. Part of our services includes an automated email notification. These notifications are personalized for each client. Each client will have their own web page with the homes that meet their criteria where they can tag each house as a favorite or as a reject. They can keep notes on each home, map the houses, see photos & virtual tours, and figure mortgage payments. It’s a great tool that helps the agent and the buyer work together more efficiently. Also, it provides our clients with an advantage of seeing a house first because it will alert our clients the very moment any house is listed in the area. Our staff of buyers’ agents can be available to show homes just about any time. Once the buyer finds the right home, our years of experience will help the buyer get the best deal possible and take care of all the details from the time a contract is written all the way to the day of closing.
DIVISION 2: SELLER REPRESENTATION
Not to worry sellers, we have seasoned agents for you too. Our agents are totally committed to helping sellers get top dollar for their home in the least amount of time possible. We have a sliding commission scale to ensure sellers save time and money when the house sells. Our listing agents have sold hundreds of homes and have the experience to help home sellers from the time it is listed to the day of closing. We have experience with short sales and understand the special needs of these transactions. We take special care to help each client work through these tough situations and to educate them on their choices.
DIVISION 3: REOs
Our third division is our bank owned division also known as our REO division where we help banks sell foreclosed homes. We take care of the home from the time the home is foreclosed all the way through the sale of the home. This division is dedicated to helping banks with property valuations. We can complete most BPO requests within 24 hours.
DIVISION 4: RENTAL MANAGEMENT
Our forth division is our rental management division. We manage rental properties for investors who want to earn passive income without the stress of having to deal with the day to day dealings of owning rental properties. We find renters, collect rent monthly, take care of all repairs needed and at the end of every month deliver the income to the investors that allows true passive income that real estate investing can provide.
SOME PERSONAL NOTES
Friestad Realty is owned by Scott and Kerry Friestad. Scott and Kerry made Shreveport their home in 2000 when Scott, a veteran, was transferred to Barksdale Air Force Base. They decided to stay here and raise their three sons. Scott and Kerry love to play tennis. They are active in each of their sons’ schools. They have been members at their church since 2000, and they are passionately involved in supporting ministries, outreaches, and various charities. Their business is their tool that enables them to continue in helping those in need.
Scott is the broker of Friestad Realty. He has helped over 400 families in the past 8 years both buy and sell homes. Scott works hard ensuring sellers get top dollar when selling their home. Scott is the manager of the REO division and works daily with some of the largest banks and their foreclosed homes. His work ethic, along with his drive, has earned the respect and trust of his asset managers, investors, and clients. They know that Scott will get the job done right and quickly. Scott’s asset managers shine in their employer’s eyes; his investors realize great opportunities and returns on their investments; and his clients have peace of mind because Scott is generous and fair.
Kerry is our primary buyers’ agent. She has helped so many families find the perfect home, negotiated awesome terms and loves the relationship she establishes with every home buyer. For her, it’s all about the importance of matching families with the houses that will become their endearing, cherished HOME. Any agent can sell a house, but her goal is to find HOMES for her clients --to find the right house that meets the needs of the family, but also fits so well that they never want to leave. Her pet peeve: buyer’s remorse! Her favorite compliment: “I love my new home!” This is what she feels makes her a great agent.
